Playtech Inks Deals with Fortuna and IWG

Irving Hayes - 20 Dec 2018

PlaytechThe end of 2018 is in sight, and Playtech is obviously planning on closing the year strong. The award-winning software supplier has added Instant Win Gaming’s Bingo offerings to its game portfolio and expanded the services it provides to the Fortuna Entertainment Group.

Playtech will deploy its IMS system to all the Fortuna Groups brands in Eastern Europe.

Playtech has been supplying Fortuna with its omni-channel solutions in the Czech Republic and Romania since 2016. The solution includes the developer’s games platform and its ONE solution, a single wallet across all platforms.

Major Steps Forward

Playtech CEO Shimon Akad has said that the agreement with Fortuna is a significant one, and highlights the company’s success as partners to date, with more growth predicted for the future. He went on to say that as a market leader, they enable operators to grow in their chosen markets.

Fortuna Groups CEO, Per Widerström, has said that the company set out to become the leading operator in betting and gaming in Central and Eastern Europe. Now that has been achieved, the company plans to continue forging growth into new markets with Playtech as its partner.

The Fortuna Entertainment Group had 93% growth in 2017 bringing its total stakes to €2 billion. Most of the growth is a result of online business.

Adding Instant Win Gaming to the Menu

In addition to the expanded contract with Fortuna, Playtech has signed an agreement with Instant Win Gaming (IWG) to add its Bingo portfolio to their menu.

The new games will be available to play with any operators that offer the brand’s Bingo network. The portfolio includes IWG’s most popular series, Cash Busters.

IWG CEO Rhydian Fisher believes the partnership will enable them to expand their commercial business further. Utilizing Playtech’s extensive network, it is an opportunity for the company to grow its international footprint while improving the developer’s portfolio of instant win games.

The deal makes the instant-win games content provider the first to take advantage of the content aggregation solution. The Open Platform allows players to use a single account across any platform, easy integration of third-party wallets, data warehousing and integration, as well as simultaneously launching new titles on all platform, desktop, laptop and mobile.

Playtech is thrilled about adding IWG’s content to its portfolio. They are the second industry giant to do so in as many weeks, as IWG recently signed a similar agreement with Bede Gaming.
